Pokémon & One Piece Card Condition Guide (Singles)
When evaluating TCG singles, the condition is based on how much wear, damage, or manufacturing issues it has. This includes things like scratches, edge wear, bends, and how well the card has held up over time from play or storage.
There are five main condition levels (although we are only accepting NM & LP singles as of now):
Near Mint (NM)
- The card looks almost new.
- Might have tiny edge wear or a light scratch or two.
- Corners are sharp, the surface is clean, and there are no major flaws.
- Card still looks unplayed.
- A printing issue (like a miscut) might drop a Near Mint card to Damaged if it affects the card’s structure or authenticity.
Lightly Played (LP)
- Slightly more visible signs of use like small scratches or edge wear.
- Still no serious damage.
- No bends, tears, or major flaws.
- Structurally intact and fully playable.
Moderately Played (MP)
- Noticeable wear like multiple scratches, surface scuffs, or edge whitening.
- Could have a minor bend or light crease if it doesn’t affect the card’s structure.
- Some signs of age or heavier use, but still authentic and usable.
Heavily Played (HP)
- Heavy wear like creases, surface wear, whitening, or visible damage.
- May have multiple issues, but still holds together.
- Must still be a real, verifiable Pokémon card.
- Structurally okay, but looks very worn.
Damaged (DMG)
- Major problems like deep creases, tears, stains (like water or food), or part of the card missing.
- Might be peeling, warped, or have ink/marker on it.
- Often unplayable or questionable for authenticity.
- Still collectible in some cases but not good for gameplay.
Foil Pokémon Cards
- Judged by the same standards as regular cards.
- Foils can show issues more clearly (like scratches or curling).
- Watch for specific foil problems like bubbling or foil specks.
Defects & Alterations
- A factory error (like miscut borders or printing issues) might automatically make the card “Damaged.”
- Cards with marker, signatures, or artwork are also considered Damaged, even if the rest of the card is in great shape.

Pokémon & One Piece Card Condition Guide (Sealed)
When evaluating TCG sealed product, the condition is based on how much wear, damage, or manufacturing issues it has. This includes things like dents, rips in the seal and how well the product has held up over time from storage.
There are two condition levels (although we are only accepting factory new, or pre-owned product, still in mint condition):
Factory New
- Product appears new as it would directly from the factory with no tears, dents or manufacturing defects
Imperfections
- Product may have small dents, rips in seal or other manufacturing defects.

Frequently Asked Questions
What condition product do you accept through the buylist?
As of now we are only accepting NM/LP Singles & Factory New sealed product for both Pokemon & One Piece TCG. Please visit the buylist page here for more info and read our full list of policies in the footer of the page.
For other collectibles & manga the products must be in a "new" condition, unopened and with no signs of wear.
What do I do if I cant tell what condition my cards are?
If you are having trouble following the guide, you can email buylist@opcardgames.com with photos of your products for confirmation.
For sealed product we need to see all sides, and for singles, front & back with good lightning and no sleeve.
Please be aware it is very hard to say 100% truthfully what condition a product is before seeing it in person. If you send a card as NM and its decided it is LP we reserve the right to adjust buylist payouts.
Where do your condition standards come from?
We follow TCG Players condition guide as they are an industry giant and have widely accepted guides with examples.
