Overpowered Card Games Trade-In Policies

We’re always looking to buy and trade a wide variety of collectibles at OpCardGames. Whether you're clearing out duplicates, trading up, or just looking for store credit, we’re happy to work with you! Below is a breakdown of how our trade-in process works across different product types, how we evaluate condition, and how we make offers both in-store and at events.

What We Accept

We currently accept the following categories for trade or buylist offers:

1. Trading Card Singles

• Accepted Games: Pokémon TCG, One Piece Card Game
  
• We Accept: English and Japanese singles (non-bulk), playable and collectible cards, tournament staples, alt arts, promos, etc. We also consider highly sought after Chinese & Korean singles on a case-by-case basis.
  
• We Don’t Accept: Moderately Played, Heavily Played or Damaged cards (unless specifically discussed), fake/resealed items, or bulk common/uncommon cards without prior arrangement.
  

2. Sealed Product

• Factory-sealed booster boxes, ETBs, decks, tins, promo packs, etc.
  
• Must be in clean, unopened condition (no shrink wrap damage, tears, or excessive wear).
  
• We Only Accept Officially Licensed Products.
  

3. Graded Cards

• PSA & BGS (and occasionally others at our discretion like CGC, or TAG).
  
• We typically buy slabs that are graded 7 or higher, unless they are of exceptional value, but our primary goal is to purchase 10's for modern cards, and 7-10 for vintage stuff.
  
• Cards must be graded as authentic; we do not accept cracked slabs or reholdered fakes. If you are found to be selling stolen cards, fakes, or re-slabbed cards you will be banned from purchasing from us indefinitely.
  

4. Collectibles, Toys & Games

We’re open to buying or trading for:

• Manga: English complete volumes or sets in good condition.
  
• Funko Pops: Must be in original packaging with no damage whatsoever. We only buy Anime & Video Game Franchise Funko's occasionally (we will often deny purchasing Funko's as we prefer TCG items).
  
• Figures & Statues: Anime, gaming, or pop culture figures — new in-box only.
  
• Video Games: Select titles for Nintendo consoles only. Discs/cartridges must be functional; packaging boosts value.
  
• Other Items: Always feel free to ask! We evaluate on a case-by-case basis.
  

Condition Requirements

We only buy authentic, original items in acceptable condition. Please review our TCG Card Condition Guide for how we grade singles. Sealed and collectible items should be free from major wear, damage, or defects.

How We Value Your Items

All offers are based on:

• Current Market Value: We use TCGPlayer, Collectr, eBay sold listings, auction trends, and other reliable pricing sources.
  
• Condition: The better the condition, the better the offer.
  
• Desirability & Demand: Some items (like alt arts or tournament staples) receive stronger offers due to demand.
  
• Authenticity: We do not accept counterfeit, proxy, or illegitimate products under any circumstances.
  

Cash vs. Trade Offers

*remember, we will always advocate for you selling your items for 100% market value to a final buyer, and to purchase items you want with cash to maximize your value with us*

• Cash Offers: Typically 70-80% of market value depending on item type and demand. (we don't like to buy lower in cash and don't include cards in the buylist that we would 'low ball' on. If you are at a card show or with us in-person you could get up to 85-90% cash as items are easy to review
  
• Trade Credit Offers: Usually 10-20% more than the cash value. You can use trade credit on anything in-person or online.
  
• Graded Cards & High-End Items: Offers may vary more based on volatility, so expect flexibility in our offers.
  

Event Trade-Ins (local shows, tournaments, etc.)

• Card Show & Convention Offers: Offers at shows may differ from online. When we can easily review the condition, and receive the card immediately I'm more open to paying more cash/higher trade :)
  
• Quick Appraisals: We can give rough estimates via DM or email, but all final offers require in-person inspection.
  

Important Notes

• ID Required: A valid photo ID is required for trade-ins over $250.
  
• Age Policy: We do not purchase items from individuals under 16 without a parent or guardian present. (many vendors will take advantage of this demographic)
  
• Final Offers: All offers are final once agreed upon and paid/traded — no refunds on traded items.
  
• Right to Refuse: We reserve the right to refuse any items at our discretion, especially fakes or items in unacceptable condition.
